Key Stage 4 Art

In GCSE Art at Wade Deacon, pupils are encouraged to develop ideas of their own within a sketchbook, and to work independently wherever possible, working through problems.  Our course is designed to encourage creativity and constructive self-criticism through the sharing of ideas and successful practice.  To further strengthen the course all pupils sit an examination during year 10, and a mock examination during year 11. There is also the opportunity of a Gallery visit and a residential workshop.  

In Year 10 there are 3 mixed ability classes, with 3 hours per week. 20-29 pupils per class

In Year 11 there are 4 mixed ability classes, with 3 hours per week. 20-26 pupils per class.
