Wade Deacon High School students are celebrating yet another outstanding set of GCSE results with 72% of students achieving ‘The Gold Standard’ of Levels 9-4 in English & Mathematics. 81% of students achieved Levels 9-4 in English with 77% of students achieving these levels in Mathematics. 122 students achieved the English Baccalaureate with 68% achieving 2 Science GCSEs Levels 4-9. 23% of all grades achieved by Wade Deacon’s Class of 2018 achieved the highest Levels possible of 9-7 across all subjects.
Wade Deacon’s Principal Simon Corner paid tribute to a ‘wonderfully committed’ group of students who have achieved at the highest levels across the whole curriculum: ‘I am immensely proud of all of our students today whose work ethic and attitude to learning have been exemplary throughout their 5 years with us. And, of course, I pay tribute to a uniquely talented staff team and our incredibly supportive parents and carers without whom such successes would not be possible.
We wish our Class of 2018 all the very best as they begin the next exciting phase of their lives’, he said.
