All students in Year 10 will be contacted by a teacher for a telephone consultation to explore how the school can offer further support and discuss their engagement with and access to remote learning.
Phase 2: Familiarisation and Reorientation (w/c 22nd June) Students in Year 10 will attend school from Monday 22nd June. Each student will be allocated to a specific day and POD, with parents/carers notified by email. During the session in school, students will be guided through the new arrangements and take part in activities to support their learning and engagement in the coming weeks.
When in school, students will take part in three sessions (in English, maths and science). These sessions will be delivered as live remote lessons by subject specialists, supported by the teacher allocated to their POD. These lessons are carefully planned to ensure they address key curriculum elements and engage students in their learning and can be accessed from home by students who are unable to attend school. In addition, students will take part in three live webinars from home during the week (one in English, maths and science respectively).
We are actively working on enhancing our remote provision to students in all year groups, with a view to providing students and families with a range of learning activities from 29th June. This provision will include live webinars and remote lessons, streamed and interactive content, in addition to the various remote learning activities students will already be familiar with. Further information will be shared soon.
