Student Leadership

Overview:

Wade Deacon’s Student Leadership Teams have been carefully nurtured and developed over time as a response to ideas generated by our students.  Wherever possible we ensure that teams:

• Are run autonomously
• Can set their own agenda and organise their own events
• Are able to contribute to whole school events and take on whole-school responsibilities
• Can change and evolve as the need arises

At Wade Deacon we believe that a vital part of personal growth is developing the confidence to lead others and initiate ideas that can be nurtured collaboratively. The participants in our teams work incredibly hard to gain their places and become extremely adept at planning, using their initiative and negotiating with others.
