Open Evening
Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Evening on Thursday 17th September 2026. We were delighted to welcome almost 2,500 visitors, making it another highly successful and memorable event.
The evening provided prospective students and their families with the opportunity to explore our excellent facilities, meet our dedicated staff and students, and experience first-hand the vibrant learning environment that makes Wade Deacon such a special place to learn and grow. Visitors enjoyed touring departments, taking part in activities and demonstrations, and discovering the wide range of opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom.
At Wade Deacon High School, our commitment to excellence extends beyond academic achievement. We strive to provide every student with the knowledge, skills, confidence and character needed to succeed. Open Evening offered families an opportunity to see this commitment in action through the enthusiasm of our colleagues, the exceptional conduct of our students, and the high-quality learning experiences on display throughout the school.
We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback received from families following the event. Many comments highlighted the warm welcome, organisation of the evening and, in particular, the outstanding ambassadors who proudly represented the school. Parents and carers shared comments including:
