Mr Ged Sheridan

Co-opted Governor

I am a senior officer within Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service and joined in 1996. I have worked at fire stations across all of Merseyside and I have managed operational training for a number of years through my roles at Service Headquarters and our Training and Development Academy . I have previously led on the development of youth engagement within the Service and I am passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

I currently oversee a number of departments that provide firefighters and senior officers with training, information, procedures, kit and equipment to ensure they can safely and effectively resolve all emergency incidents. This includes everything from fires, floods, chemical spills to terrorist attacks. I work closely with higher education and lecture at University of Liverpool. As a governor I aim to continue support the staff and help ensure that all pupils can continue to enjoy and benefit from their time at Wade Deacon High School
