I chose to become a governor at Wade Deacon High School because I want to use my experience and passion for safeguarding to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.
I am a mother of three sons, two of whom are currently in high school and one in primary school, so I understand personally how important it is for children to feel safe, supported and able to thrive in their school environment.
I have been a police officer for over 18 years, with the majority of my service spent working within child protection. I currently work within a child exploitation team, where safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of young people remains a key priority.
I hope to bring my knowledge, experience and passion for safeguarding to my role as a governor, while also supporting the school in any other way I can. I am keen to contribute positively to the school community and help ensure that every young person has the opportunity to feel safe, valued and reach their full potential.
