A huge congratulations to our incredible swimmers who recently competed in the 2025 North West Regional Championships after qualifying with outstanding regional times
Over three weekends of intense competition, our pupils achieved multiple personal bests, reached finals, and even brought home a silver medal!
Dylan Taylor (Y7) – 100m Butterfly
Layla Keeble (Y7) – 100m & 200m Backstroke, 400m Freestyle
Nefeli Kalampokis (Y8) – 100m Breaststroke
Freya Karaski (Y8) – 5 events, Finalist in 50m Freestyle, just 0.6s from bronze!
Daniel Houghton-Butler (Y10) – Finalist in all 6 events, Silver Medalist in 50m Freestyle (25.66s) and just 0.11s off bronze in 50m Backstroke!
Swimming is a fantastic pursuit for young people, promoting not only physical fitness and coordination, but also boosting mental wellbeing, resilience, and confidence. It’s a sport that builds lifelong healthy habits while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and self-belief—qualities we are proud to nurture at Wade Deacon.
