Ian Phillips 1966-2023

We are saddened to announce the passing of a long-serving and talented member of staff, Ian Phillips.

Ian worked at Wade Deacon High School from 1995 as a Senior Technician, mainly supporting the Design Technology and Art Departments. Ian’s contribution to the school went beyond his work with these departments and his creativity and support across the school were widely recognised and valued.

Ian was highly respected and loved by all staff.

He was also a fantastic role model for the students he worked with, acting as a guide and mentor to many over the years, while using his many creative talents to inspire those students who had the privilege of working with him.

Ian will be remembered by all who knew him. We will miss him dearly.
